TRANSPORT INFORMATION

Bradfield Parish is extremely well served by Public Transport. Thanks mainly to Government Grants for Rural Services.

The Parish fits neatly between the main A57 road via the Snake Pass to Manchester on the south and the main road via the Woodhead Pass on the North.

Routes via the A57

273 from Sheffield to Castleton – daily via Hollow Meadows & Moscar

Routes using the A6102 ( Sheffield to Stocksbridge)

57 from Sheffield to Stocksbridge via Oughtibridge & Wharncliffe Side. This service is extended to Holhfirth on Sundays  and Bank holidays

The following villages are served by regular daily services:

14 Sheffield to Loxley

11 & 12 Sheffield to Stannington ( and Dungworth at breakfast time)

61 Hillsborough to Bradfield (High & Low) via Loxley Valley

62 Hillsborough to Bradfield (High & Low) via Stannington & Dungworth

Please Note: limited Evening service on the 61/62


57/58 Sheffield to Stocksbridge via Worrall, Oughtibridge & Wharncliffe Side

57   Operates to Holmfirth on SUNDAYS only

23/24 BarnsleyLangsett circular via Midhopestones

Monday to Saturday service

268  Hillsborough to Wadsley Park Village, Oughtibridge & Wharncliffe Side


266/267 Hillsborough, Loxley Park  Stannington , Storrs, Loxley,

TF1 – Supertram Link from Stocksbridge to Middlewood via Wharncliffe side and Oughtibridge

NOTE. The main road  through to Oughtibridge is closed for repairs and will re-open in the spring of 2009. TF1, 57, 58, 268 are diverted via Mowson and Stockarth Lane  and Worall
